Calling all dads and other male relatives of people with Rett syndrome...Beer and Banter is back and re-vamped to be better than ever in 2025 🥳
This year we are truly excited to be changing the format of these groups, from what might be perceived as a place for a drink and a chat, to a more focussed discussion group for men in our community to gain support 💚
Don't miss the first session of 2025:
🗓️ Thursday 12th February
⏰ 20:00 - 21:00
🖥 Microsoft Teams (just click on the link below 🔗)
We are planning some great guest speakers, who will come along and answer your questions about epilepsy, sleep, respiratory issues and many other things that we all wish we knew more about!
We also recognise that being a dad or the male relative of a child/person with Rett syndrome, can be enormously challenging and put a significant strain our mental health.
It can be tough to speak to our mates or our work colleagues, about our family life, our concerns or our worries, if they don’t have a son or daughter with Rett how could they possibly understand?
This is why we feel strongly that a group of this type is so important. It’s a safe place, a place to share those concerns with people who are also living through similar experiences 🥰
Join Brett, dad of Charlotte, and Steve, dad of Lydia, this week for a more informal discussion on the group's future as well as getting to know the other men in our community!
Whether you already attended the group previously, joined in with our first in-person session at the Family Weekend or are totally new to us, everyone is welcome 😊
If you’re interested, you can join the call directly through the Teams link ⬇️
