It’s an exciting time to become a Rett UK trustee.
We want to ensure we reflect the wide range of people in our community.
Rett UK was founded in 1985 round a kitchen table by Yvonne Milne MBE and has grown into a fantastic charity with a great team. We are the only UK charity that provides professional support to people living with Rett syndrome across the UK.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we continued to offer vital services for the Rett syndrome community in the UK
We want to recruit more trustees and are particularly interested in applications from the diverse range of people we are here to help, including those from ethnic minority populations and the LGBTQ+ community. Rett UK is committed to being an organisation that represents the communities we serve and ensuring inclusion in everything we do.
As well as ensuring we are a diverse board, we are interested in people who have skills and experience in any of the following: charities; fundraising; education; disabilities and bids & grant funding
Perhaps this is your first role as Trustee? you will help shape our strategy and plans and ensure our delivery of programmes is most impactful and relevant. We will give you guidance and mentoring to grow in the role.
Most importantly you will need a commitment to improving the lives of people with Rett syndrome in the UK.
